CoD: BlackOut gets a free trial


Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was one of the biggest releases of 2018, mostly for introducing the Battle Royale mode titled Blackout, for the first time to the franchise.

Currently, it is one of the most polished Battle Royale experiences in terms of weapons and gameplay.

Much to the joy of eager gamers, Blackout is getting a free trial on PC and consoles.   

For a limited time, gamers can play Blackout for free
For gamers who wish to try out the Blackout experience to see if the hype was all true, then you can access the game from January 17 to January 24.

Treyarch made the announcement itself.

During this time, if your console or PC supports the game, you can obtain and play Blackout Battle Royale and it will not cost you anything.



Free trials might convince gamers to buy CoD

There are multiple games in the Battle Royale genre, like PUBG, Fortnite. Famously, the latter is free to play.

Additionally, this year Battlefield V is launching its own take, Firestorm.

With so many options, gamers might be hesitant to shell out money initially.


The free trial will allow gamers to test out the game and purchase it only if they enjoy the gameplay.
